The Ralph Ellison Debate Team Begins a Winning Season

Entering its second year, the CICS Ralph Ellison debate team participated in their first tournament on October 1. Each of the three teams that competed, participated in four rounds of debate. For the first time, all 3 competing teams finished in the top ten!

Congratulations to the following teams:

Team 1: Angelica Smith & Maurice Dukes who finished in 6th place

Team 2: Malcolm Gowder & Patrick Johnson who finished in 4th place

Team 3: Khalia Williams & Raven Heard who finished in 10th place

In addition, Malcolm Gowder received the #1 Speaker Designation in the JV category and Angelica Smith received the #9 Speaker Designation in the JV category.

Ellison walked away as the 3rd Place Sweepstakes winner.
